Position Summary
The HR Business Partner reports to the Vice President of People & Culture and serves as a strategic and operational partner to Entelligence’s technical consultants, practice managers, and select corporate functions including IT, Finance, and Recruiting. This role supports a technology-driven workforce and requires a strong understanding of how modern tech organizations operate, scale, and deliver client outcomes.
The HR Business Partner provides guidance across the employee lifecycle, including performance management, engagement, workforce planning, and employee relations. This role works closely with business leaders to align people strategy with business needs while ensuring a consistent, compliant, and positive employee experience.
Key Responsibilities
Business Partnership and Advisory Support

Serve as the primary HR partner for assigned technical consulting practices and their practice managers

Provide HR guidance to small corporate functions including IT, Finance, and Recruiting

Advise leaders on employee relations, performance management, engagement, and workforce planning

Act as a trusted advisor to managers on people-related decisions in fast-paced, technology-driven environments
Support for Technical Consultants and Practices

Partner with practice leaders to support consultant lifecycle events including onboarding, role alignment, performance feedback, and career progression

Understand the unique needs of technical consulting populations, including project-based work, client delivery pressures, and skill development

Support consultant engagement, retention, and development initiatives in collaboration with People and Culture leadership
Employee Relations and Performance Management

Manage employee relations matters, including investigations, corrective actions, and conflict resolution

Support performance review cycles, goal setting, and ongoing feedback processes

Coach managers on delivering effective feedback and managing performance issues appropriately
Organizational and Workforce Support

Support workforce planning, role clarity, and organizational design initiatives for supported teams

Partner with Recruiting on hiring needs, role requirements, and candidate alignment

Collaborate with HR leadership on people programs, policy updates, and change management initiatives
Compliance, Policy, and HR Operations

Ensure consistent application of HR policies, practices, and employment laws

Support compliance with federal, state, and local employment regulations

Maintain accurate employee documentation and support HR systems and reporting as needed
Culture and Engagement

Promote Entelligence values and culture across consulting and corporate teams

Support employee engagement initiatives and feedback mechanisms

Act as a connector between employees, managers, and People and Culture leadership
Required Qualifications
-
Five or more years of HR experience, including HR Business Partner or generalist roles
-
Experience supporting technology, consulting, or professional services organizations
-
Demonstrated ability to partner with technical leaders and support technical employee populations

Strong working knowledge of employment law, employee relations, and performance management

Experience supporting multiple departments or business units simultaneously
Preferred Qualifications

Experience supporting consulting or project-based delivery organizations

Familiarity with workforce models that include billable consultants or technical specialists

Experience partnering with small but critical corporate functions such as IT, Finance, or Recruiting

HR certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR
