Position Summary 
The Practice Manager is responsible for the operational leadership, consultant success, and delivery excellence of a team within Entelligence's Palo Alto Networks Professional Services Practice. Reporting to the Practice Director, this role leads a team of cybersecurity consultants and architects while ensuring successful customer engagements, high consultant utilization, technical excellence, and outstanding customer experiences. 

The Practice Manager partners closely with Sales, Recruiting, Customer Success, and Delivery Leadership to ensure the right consultants are deployed to the right engagements while developing consultant capabilities that support the continued growth of the Palo Alto practice. 

This role combines people leadership, operational management, workforce planning, and customer engagement to drive consistent delivery quality and business performance.  

 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of Palo Alto Networks consultants and solution architects through regular performance management, career development, and technical mentoring. 

  • Drive consultant utilization, delivery quality, customer satisfaction, and employee engagement through effective workload management and operational oversight. 

  • Partner with Recruiting to interview, hire, onboard, and develop cybersecurity consultants that align with practice growth objectives. 

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success teams to align consultant assignments with customer requirements and project demand. 

  • Support customer delivery escalations and ensure issues are resolved quickly with a focus on maintaining strong customer relationships. 

  • Promote technical excellence by driving certification attainment, knowledge sharing, mentoring, and continuous learning across the team. 

  • Ensure consultants follow delivery methodologies, documentation standards, and operational best practices. 

  • Analyze operational metrics including utilization, customer satisfaction, project health, certification progress, and consultant performance to identify opportunities for improvement. 

  • Support Practice Director initiatives related to service expansion, workforce planning, process improvement, and operational excellence. 

  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and customer-first service delivery. 

Required Qualifications 

  • 8+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, professional services, consulting, or enterprise technology. 

  • 3+ years of experience leading technical consultants, architects, engineers, or cybersecurity professionals. 

  • Experience supporting Palo Alto Networks technologies including: Strata, Prisma Access, Prisma Cloud, Cortex, SASE, and Next Generation Firewall solutions. 

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex professional services or consulting engagements. 

  • Working knowledge of the Palo Alto Networks security portfolio, with particular strength in Prisma Cloud, Cortex Cloud, and/or Cortex XSIAM. 

  • Strong understanding of modern cloud security concepts including CNAPP, CSPM, workload protection, cloud detection and response, vulnerability management, and cloud security posture. 

  • Understanding of modern security operations including SIEM, XDR/EDR, SOAR, threat detection, incident response, and SOC transformation. 

  • Familiarity with AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, containers, and modern cloud-native architectures. 

  • Ability to lead and credibly engage highly technical consultants and architects without necessarily serving as the hands-on technical lead for every engagement. 

  • Demonstrated ability to identify technical talent, assess skills, coach employees, and build technical capabilities. 

  • Strong customer-facing communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills. 

  • Experience managing delivery escalations and complex customer situations. 

  • Strong operational discipline with experience managing utilization, resource capacity, delivery quality, and practice KPIs. 

  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, high-growth professional services environment.. 

  • Excellent organizational, communication, and customer relationship skills. 

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Previous experience working for Palo Alto Networks or a Palo Alto Networks professional services or delivery partner. 

  • Experience building or scaling a cybersecurity or cloud security professional services practice. 

  • Cloud certifications from AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud. 

  • Experience with enterprise SOC modernization or SIEM transformation initiatives. 

  • Experience developing technical enablement, certification, and career-development programs. 

  • Experience supporting geographically distributed consulting teams. 

  • Experience working within a managed services organization. 

  • Experience participating in hiring, interviewing, onboarding, and technical talent development. 

  • Palo Alto Networks certifications (Cybersecurity Apprentice, Cybersecurity Practitioner, Cloud Security Professional, Network Security Professional, Network Security Architect) or equivalent cybersecurity certifications preferred.  

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • Customer Success: Ability to build trusted customer relationships while proactively addressing delivery risks and escalating issues appropriately. 

  • Technical Leadership: Working knowledge of enterprise cybersecurity technologies with the ability to support consultant development and technical discussions. 

  • Talent Development: Ability to identify skill gaps, create development plans, and drive certification and career growth initiatives. 

  • Operational Excellence: Ability to analyze business metrics, improve delivery processes, and ensure consistent execution across the practice. 

  • Cross Functional Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with Revenue, Recruiting, Customer Success, Finance, and Practice Leadership to achieve shared business objectives.
